As anyone who knows me will testify, I’m a bit of a foodie. I love trying different cuisines and sampling food from as many different.
Whenever I go abroad, I will always go out of my way to find food that is sourced and prepared locally!
I can’t understand those people who will travel to a different country and then go out of their way to try and find the nearest fast food chain, but each to their own I guess. Obviously, since I’ve got the ball rolling with my ethical fashion startup BODO, I’ve been super-busy, so I don’t get to travel as much as I would like to, but then I’m lucky enough to be a Londoner.
Living here, you never have to go too far to find world foods, whether its buying produce from market stalls or specialist outlets or dining at restaurants with friends and family. I particularly enjoy visiting London’s many markets, because during a jaunt down Portobello Road, Camden Town, Spitalfields Market or Brick Lane, you are not only treated to products from all over the world, often created by the people selling them, but you also get to sample the food from these places too!
