Throughout my life, I’ve always enjoyed working out and have an avid interest in sports and fitness. Working out and focusing on physical activity has helped me get through a lot of dark times in my life and I think sport and exercise are really important to our physical and mental well-being.
I’m also a firm believer in the good that they can do, to help deter youngsters growing up in disadvantaged areas or from dysfunctional families from going down the wrong path and giving them a positive outlet and the motivation to better themselves. I feel that more funding should be given to programs that try to engage youngsters in sporting activities and get them off the streets and onto the fields or into the gym!
Last summer, I was lucky enough to get my hands on some tickets to the 2012 Olympics in London and being there at those historic games was a really incredible experience.
These days, as the founder of my own company and a dad-to-be, I don’t really get as much time as I’d like to spend down the gym, but I still try to go as often as I can!
